Do you need to share your driving licence information with a third party? This is the code that you will need for them to verify your driving licence is valid, as well as to check for any endorsements you have.
Starting your motorcycle training course is just one of the reasons you will need to obtain a driving licence check code.
How do you get your driving licence check code?
You will need the following information before you can start the process.
Your UK driving licence number
Your National Insurance number
The postcode on your driving licence
Once you have this you can visit the UK government website to get your check code.
What happens when I have my check code?
The check code itself, will be a combination of letters and numbers and usually around 8 characters long.
The check code remains valid for 21 days and can only be used once. Should you need to provide this to more than one person, you will need to complete this process for each of them separately.
You will need to provide the full check code and the last 8 characters of your UK driving licence to the person who needs to validate your driving licence.
Can I take a screenshot and show this?
Unfortunately, this is not accepted by us at Whiteline Motorcycles as a validation for your driving licence. You will need to bring your check and full driving licence with you at the start of your training course.
